【Great News · Poi Lam Students Advance to HIPPO National Round】
 
Our school students participated in the HIPPO English Olympiad Preliminary Round recently and we are proud to share that several Poi Lam students have achieved “Participant Qualified for National Round”, earning their place in the next stage of the competition!
 
This accomplishment reflects their strong English proficiency and their willingness to challenge themselves on an international platform. Their success is a result of consistent effort and dedication.

【培南学子再传佳音 · 荣获拉曼大学奖学金】✨🎓
 
培南独中两位毕业生——林文乐与邓景天，凭借优异的学业表现及积极参与课外活动，成功获得 拉曼大学（UTAR）2026年2月入学奖学金。目前，两人已就读理科基础课程，正式展开新的学习旅程。
 
在校期间，两位同学在学术竞赛中表现出色，曾于 Singapore Math Challenge 荣获 Commendable Award，并在 Kangaroo Math Competition 获得 Honorable Mention。
 
除了学业上的卓越表现，他们也积极参与各类活动，曾协助“小雨点成长营”及教育展等项目，展现出良好的服务精神与团队合作能力。

【Poi Lam Students Awarded UTAR Scholarship】✨🎓
 
Two graduates of Poi Lam High School, Lim Ven Le and Tang Keng Tien, have been awarded scholarships for the February 2026 intake at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and active involvement in co-curricular activities.
 
They are currently pursuing their Foundation in Science programme at UTAR, embarking on a new chapter in their academic journey.
 
During their time at school, both students demonstrated excellent achievements in academic competitions. They were awarded the Commendable Award in the Singapore Math Challenge and received the Honorable Mention in the Kangaroo Math Competition.
 
Beyond academics, they actively contributed to school and community activities, including assisting in the “Little Raindrops Growth Camp” and participating in education fairs. Their involvement reflects strong teamwork, initiative, and a commendable spirit of service.
 
Their dedication and hard work have not only earned them valuable opportunities for further education but have also brought pride to their alma mater.

【SPM放榜✨培南学子再创佳绩｜国文91%＋多科表现亮眼】
 
2025年度SPM成绩正式公布，培南独中学子整体表现稳健，其中国文科及格率高达91%，表现亮眼；英语、华文与化学等科目及格率亦超过90%，展现出学生在多项核心科目的扎实基础。
 
本届共有15位学子考获3A至10A的优异成绩，成绩令人鼓舞。其中，黄雪宁与吴展晖勇夺10A佳绩，表现最为突出；另有黄永绚、陈宣锜及谭忠信三位同学考获6A，展现出稳定而优异的学习实力。
优异的成绩，源自同学们长期以来的努力与坚持，也离不开教师团队的悉心指导与用心栽培。

【SPM Results 2025 ✨ Poi Lam Students Shine with Strong Subject Performance】
 
The 2025 SPM results have been officially released, and students of Poi Lam High School have delivered a commendable performance. Notably, Bahasa Malaysia achieved an impressive 91% pass rate, while key subjects such as English, Chinese, and Chemistry also recorded pass rates exceeding 90%, reflecting strong academic foundations across core subjects.
 
A total of 15 students achieved outstanding results ranging from 3As to 10As. Among them, Ng Xue Lin and Ethan Goh Zhan Hui stood out with an excellent achievement of 10As. In addition, Wong Yong Xuan, Tan Shiuan Chyi, and Jarell Tham Zhong Xin each achieved 6As, demonstrating consistent academic excellence.
These accomplishments are a testament to the students’ dedication and perseverance, as well as the commitment and guidance of our teachers.

【Writing with Heart · Poi Lam Student Wins Award in Essay Competition】
 
Bernice Chieng Zhiyun from Poi Lam High School was awarded a Merit Award in the Senior High Category at the 5th “Affection Between China and Malaysia” Essay Competition. Her essay, titled “The Invisible Postman: A Friendship Across the Ocean”, earned the Merit Award in the Senior High Category.
 
The competition, themed “Friendship”, encourages participants to share stories that reflect cultural exchange and the warm ties between China and Malaysia. Through thoughtful writing and sincere expression, Bernice’s essay beautifully portrayed a friendship that transcends distance and borders, gaining recognition from the judges.
