We are pleased to announce that our Early Round Application for 2027 is now open! What is new for 2027 entry?– New programme: Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Applied Psychological Science. – Faculty renamed: The Faculty of Science renamed to the Faculty of Science and Technology.– And MORE! Programmes– HKBU offers over 40 majors across Arts and Social Sciences, Business, Chinese Medicine, Communication, Creative Arts, and Science.– We also offer 5 transdisciplinary programmes in Arts and Technology, Global Entertainment, Innovation in Health and Social Well-being, Digital Futures and Humanities and an individualised major.– With the new transdisciplinary second majors in cultural and creative industries management, digital entertainment and interactive media publishing, green technology and sustainability management, applied AI for sustainable society and entrepreneurship and innovation management, students may “mix-and-match” different curricular components according to their personal strengths and career aspirations.– You can view our full list of programmes at http://admissions.hkbu.edu.hk/ug/intl_programme – Our Arts, Business, Communication, Science and Social Sciences programmes adopt broad-based admission, meaning students apply to a degree programme and declare major/concentration after enrolment. For instance, a student interested in Finance should apply to Year 1 of BBA, instead of Year 1 of BBA-Finance. Entrance requirements– Each applicant must fulfil the University Entrance Requirements and English Proficiency Requirement.– We accept a wide range of international and national qualifications, in addition to those listed above. Competitive ones will be shortlisted for advance assessment, with admission offers released from late December onwards.>> Applications submitted in the Main Round and Extended Round will be processed on a rolling basis.>> Students seeking scholarships are strongly encouraged to apply during the Early Round. Application procedures– Apply directly to HKBU at http://admissions.hkbu.edu.hk/ug/apply.– Choose up to 2 programmes. Applicants will only be considered for their 2nd choice if they are rejected by their 1st choice.– Some programmes, including Business and Science, do not consider 2nd choice. Please refer to individual programme webpages for details.– Documents required for the application:1. Passport copy/copy of national ID (if passport is not yet available)2. Latest transcript3. Predicted grades (compulsory for IB, recommended for GCEAL, optional for others)– Confidential documents may be sent to ardirect@hkbu.edu.hk quoting the application number.– Personal statements are encouraged but not required, especially if the applicants wish to be considered for scholarship.– Reference letters are optional but welcome, no set format, content or quantity.– Some programmes, particularly those related to creative arts, require portfolio. Admissions scholarships scheme for Overseas Applicants– These scholarships are available to non-local applicants at the time of entrance into HKBU. No separate application is required. These scholarships are renewable for normal duration of study subject to the student’s achievement of good result.>> Full Scholarship (100% tuition + living subsidies)>> Tuition-waiver Scholarship (100% Tuition)>> Half Scholarship (50% of Full Scholarship)– In addition to their academic performance, applicants are also evaluated on non-academic performance, personal attributes, and interview performance.– Award of scholarship is subject to competition and availability. Dedicated Admissions Scholarship for Malaysian– A dedicated admissions scholarship is available for students from Malaysia. Applicants simply follow the standard application procedures. No separate application is required.– Please encourage your students with Malaysian passport to apply. HKBU Students with Exceptional Talent Direct Admission Scheme (SETDAS)– SETDAS is designed to give due recognition to applicants with exceptional talent from Belt and Road Initiative countries whose potential may not be fully reflected in their academic results.– Each participating programme has specific SETDAS admission requirements, typically including national or international achievements.– Applicants must submit detailed information and verification of their achievements.
